Discover Children’s Story Centre
I develop bespoke costumes tailored for Discover's specialised exhibitions that celebrate specific children's authors and their works, meticulously capturing the style and look of each character. Beyond this, I craft a variety of adaptable costumes for the Story Centre’s dress-up collection, fostering imaginative play and narrative exploration among children. My approach balances detailed accuracy with child-centric practicality, enriching interactive learning spaces.
The retrospectives included Judith Kerr’s (The Tiger Who Came to Tea), where the flying crocodile was featured, Dr Seuss, for which I produced a “Thneed” and some “Truffulla Trees.” I have also worked on costumes for Julia Donaldson and Alex Schaefer (The Gruffalo), Nadia Shireen (Barbara throws a Wobbler), and Dapo Adeola (Look Up!)
